Welcome to USD Admissions Blog!

Taking advantage of the warm weather, a professor teaches his class outside

The hot, summery weather may still be hanging around here in San Diego, but fall semester is back in full swing. Students are settling back into classes and studying for midterms and admissions counselors have begun their travels searching far and wide for Future Toreros. Here in USD’s Undergraduate Admissions Office, we have been hard at work as well, and there are exciting happenings to report! It is plain to see that the prospective student’s college search is changing with the popularity of social media applications such as Facebook and Twitter. In order to show Future Toreros just how fabulous the sunny San Diego lifestyle is at USD, we joined in on the fun launching our Facebook page,  Twitter account, and Instagram, along with our new USD Admissions Blog.

Get ready for some football! Go Toreros!

This September, we welcomed USD senior Avery Johnson to the office as our social media/marketing intern. The rest of our team includes USD admissions counselors Eric Felix, Christine Killoran, and Sean Green, who travel the country meeting prospective students and introducing them to all that USD has to offer. Our team, along with a few other USD students, will be blogging about what life as a Torero is like throughout the year. Our student bloggers, who are involved in a variety of majors, clubs, and activities on campus, will offer insight into college life and what it means to be a Changemaker at the University of San Diego. On the other hand, our admissions counselors will not only update us about their travels, but will tell you valuable info regarding applications, admissions, and what they look for in a Future Torero.
