We realize that as an incoming first-year student, you are eager to receive your fall 2013 class schedule, so we decided to release them a week early. You will be able to access your course schedule today, Friday, July 12th, after 5 pm. To find your schedule, log into your MySanDiego portal and select the ‘New Student’ tab – there you will see a ‘View my Schedule’ link. You will receive your housing assignment via email on Monday afternoon, July 15th.
This year, USD welcomes an unusually large freshman class. We are thrilled to have attracted such a remarkable group of students. That being said, the large class size and full implementation of living learning communities (LLCs) leaves us very little flexibility in making changes to Preceptorials, LLCs, and housing assignments. For this reason, schedule changes will be limited to urgent and critical requests. For instance, if you received AP credit for the Preceptorial you’ve been assigned, then we will make an adjustment to your schedule before you arrive in August.
Please know that our summer advisors did their best to create schedules that suit the interests you indicated on your Freshman Advising Questionnaire and to accommodate any practice or work commitments. You will have the opportunity to make some adjustments when you arrive on campus and meet with your Preceptor. At that time, you can try to change non-Preceptorial classes during the add/drop period.
